FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

Currently I am based out of Council Bluffs, IA. Since I am a hop-skip away from Omaha, I consider that area “local.”

DO YOU TRAVEL AND DOES IT COST TO TRAVEL?

YES! This is one of my favorite things to do alongside capturing your life’s moments! I do require an additional $100 for travel. This covers all travel within a 1.5 radius of Omaha, NE. Any destination weddings/elopements - those travel plans will be arranged separately!

HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?

To book, I require a 25% deposit for all services. The remaining balance is due the day before your event. I use this system called Honeybook. This allows payment to go directly through a protected site by using your debit/credit card as well as a bank account.

Payment plans can be arranged, but ultimately the balance needs to be paid in full 24 hours prior to coverage start time.

My deposit fee is non-refundable. The deposit secures a date in my calendar, meaning once the deposit is paid, that date is no longer available to anyone else. I also have a contract that I will send along with all this information when you are ready to book!

HOW DO WE KNOW WHICH COLLECTION TO PICK FROM?

In other words, how long should we book for? This is a really good question and so important, in my opinion. To simply put it - the longer I am booked, the more coverage you will receive. This goes from a senior collection to a wedding collection. In return, that is more photos in your gallery and a variety of scenery/outfits. I think that’s pretty important!

If it were me, I would sit down with my partner/parent/guardian and figure out a timeline or an idea of how much I would like covered. An hour photo shoot can give you anywhere from 20-50 photos returned. If you have any questions regarding hourly coverage, please let me know! An additional hour of coverage is the most valuable add on in any collection!

HOW CAN I REACH YOU?

I DON’T SEE MY SERVICE I’M SEARCHING FOR LISTED, WHY?

I am up for the challenge of capturing all seasons in life! I have selected and showcased the various sessions that I book quite frequently. That doesn’t mean I only capture what’s on my website! I would love to chat more to bring your vision to life! Additional services I have documented are: newborn lifestyle, boudoir, maternity, pets, and products/inventory for businesses.

DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT PLANS FOR ALL TYPES OF SESSIONS?

YES! So, like I said above, ultimately the full balance needs to be paid the day before your session is to be scheduled. The earlier you inquire, the longer we have to space out those payments that will work with your budget! There is no interest/month or additional fees to have a payment plan curated to your needs!

WHY ARE YOU NOT BOOKING WEEKENDS UNLESS IT’S A WEDDING?

This was a very hard decision to make. While I know weekends may work best for others, it does not work best for my family and I. Zach travels for work, and the only days we get to spend time together as a family is Saturday and Sunday. Over the years, I’ve noticed myself sacrificing every weekend from June-November and time with my family is not something I want to miss out on. Please understand that this decision was not made lightly, yet it is in the best interest for my family. With not working on the weekends, unless I have booked a wedding, it means that I am not editing, responding to emails/messages or anything like that until the business week.

HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE SAFETY OF MY PHOTOS?

I can assure you that your photos after our time together are cared for! I immediately go home and download them onto external hard drives and set the SD card from our session aside until I have delivered your gallery. After your gallery is delivered, you have roughly 6 months to view, download your photos, and print them off - after that I will be deleting your photos from my hard drive and moving on. PLEASE BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD YOUR PHOTOS AS SOON AS YOU CAN!

WHAT IF I’M RUNNING LATE?

I can understand there are certain situations that are out of your control; traffic, weather, work delays (fiancé’s working later than planned), or simply car troubles. However, more often than not, there are cases where you may have lost track of time and are now scrambling to leave the house, your outfit doesn’t fit or your hair simply won’t curl. I try my hardest to be as understanding as possible when it comes to running late. I know photos may feel stressful to you - I know the last thing you want to do is run late on time that you are paying for. When it comes to making up your time - I cannot. If you are 30 minutes late to your hour session, you only have 30 minutes left of our time together. I realize this may sound harsh, but please understand that our session time has been set plenty in advance. Our time together is valuable to me, which is why I cannot make up for the time lost. If we are in the middle of Omaha and our session starts at 6pm - arrive 15 minutes early! I would rather you show up earlier than to be late.

If roles were reversed and it was me who was running late, that is a different story!

WHEN WILL MY PHOTOS BE RETURNED?

My most asked question!! In the contract you will sign, you will see that for every photo session, my return on a full-edited gallery can range from 2 weeks to 5 weeks. For a wedding gallery, most will be returned a full-edited gallery between 6-8 weeks. You will receive some sneak peeks within 3 days for you to download and post! My return rate depends on how busy I am for the upcoming weeks. If you are interested in adding a rush fee (for your gallery to be bumped to my top task and returned in 5 days), let me know!
